This part of the website applies to you if you are a ‘Professional’, working with or caring for children and young people in an employed or voluntary capacity.

This includes people whose job brings them into contact with children infrequently or on an adhoc basis, such as members of the Emergency Services or Clergy. It also includes the wide variety of people in a caring capacity, such as Foster Carers, Childminders or Youth Workers.

Peterborough SCB is responsible for co-ordinating local agencies’, in ‘statutory’ and ‘non statutory’ agencies and has a collective responsibility for ensuring that all agencies working with children in Peterborough undertake their safeguarding duties and responsibilities appropriately.

This section is about sharing information in order to help and assist professionals in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

i-HOP

Supporting all professionals to work with the children and families of offenders.

The i-HOP service, provides a free to access one stop information hub to help you work with these potentially vulnerable families. Find local and national targeted services, training and events, case studies, quality assessed research and policy as well as practice models and case studies to inspire you. i-HOP is run by Barnardo’s and funded by the Department for Education.
