The last few months have been very busy for the board and partnership.
We have launched an updated joint referral form, an updated Threshold document, which has made a number of important changes on how to access services effectively for the children and young people of Peterborough.
Another new document is the Neglect strategy and this has been launched with a series of one day training courses for practitioners. In addition we have developed a neglect resource pack. This contains leaflets, guidance and training on neglect and is accessible via our website.
This newsletter outlines some information on these initiatives, but also covers details on iHOP which supports professionals who work with children and families of offenders. Peterborough City Council have signed up to the award – winning App for children and young people that helps 8 – 21 year olds in contact with Social Care to express their views, get more involved in meetings and make better decisions. It will be interesting to see how this initiative works and I am very hopeful of the benefits.
I hope that you find this newsletter not only interesting, but also informative. We would welcome your feedback, and in particular if you can think of any articles that would be worthwhile in our next edition of this newsletter.
